The Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre (C2) is temporarily suspending its Drop-In Sports programming in select areas to accommodate more than 300 evacuees arriving from Saskatchewan, displaced by ongoing wildfires in the region.
Field House Closure:
▪️ Drop-In Sports in the Field House is cancelled from August 1 to August 5, 2025.
GenMec Room Closure:
▪️ Drop-In Sports in the GenMec room will be paused from August 5 to August 12, 2025.
The affected spaces will be used to support evacuees by providing gathering and dining areas while they stay in Bonnyville.
“The C2 has always been more than just a recreation facility — we’re a hub for community, care, and connection,” says management. “We’re proud to step up and support our neighbours during this difficult time.”
All other areas and scheduled programming within the facility remain open unless otherwise posted. The C2 team will continue to provide updates through its website and social media channels.
