Due to the forecasted weather and anticipated high water levels, the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre is excited to welcome the community for Party at the C2 this Canada Day.

Originally planned for Little Leap Park, the Town of Bonnyville’s Party in the Park celebrations have been relocated indoors to ensure residents and visitors can celebrate safely and comfortably, rain or shine.

The change in venue doesn’t mean fewer festivities. Guests can still enjoy many of the activities they’ve come to expect, including food trucks, the Bonnyville Farmers’ Market, beer gardens, children’s entertainment, the Balloon Man and more.

The evening entertainment will also continue as planned, with Canadian rock legends Prism taking the stage at 8 p.m., followed by Streetheart at 9:45 p.m.

The Canada Day fireworks display will also proceed from the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre grounds at dusk, weather permitting.

For everyone’s safety, attendees are reminded to remain outside the barricaded fireworks launch area and to follow all posted signage and directions from event staff.

The Pancake Breakfast, Opening Ceremonies and Canada Day Parade will continue at their original locations. Guests attending those events are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather before making their way to the C2 for the remainder of the day’s celebrations.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the C2 for an exciting day of Canada Day festivities,” said the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre. “While the weather may have changed our location, it certainly hasn’t changed our plans to celebrate with the community.”

Any vendors who have not yet been contacted regarding the venue change are encouraged to contact the Town of Bonnyville at 780-826-3496.

The Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre looks forward to celebrating Canada Day with the community and helping create another memorable day for residents and visitors alike.
