The Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre is ready to welcome the community for a full day of Canada Day celebrations after weather prompted the relocation of Party in the Park to the C2.
With significant rainfall and high water levels forecast, the Town of Bonnyville has made the proactive decision to move the afternoon and evening festivities indoors to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Party at the C2 will feature many of the same great attractions residents were looking forward to, including food trucks, the Bonnyville Farmers’ Market, beer gardens, children’s entertainment, the Balloon Man and more.
Live entertainment will continue as planned, with Prism taking the stage at 8 p.m., followed by Streetheart at 9:45 p.m.
The Canada Day fireworks display will also proceed from the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre grounds at dusk, weather permitting. Guests are reminded to remain outside the barricaded launch area and follow all posted safety signage.
While Party in the Park has a new home for the day, the Pancake Breakfast, Opening Ceremonies and Canada Day Parade will continue at their scheduled locations. Visitors are encouraged to dress for the weather before heading to the C2 to continue the celebrations.
The Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre is looking forward to hosting residents and visitors for an exciting day filled with live music, family activities, great food and a spectacular fireworks finale.
Any vendors who have not yet been contacted regarding the venue change are encouraged to contact the Town of Bonnyville at 780-826-3496.
Rain or shine, Canada Day is on—and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at the C2.
